It’s a time to give THANKS and always a celebration giving thanks with the family in unity. It brings peace, joy, happiness and much love the world needs. Although, there has been much trials and tribulations in the world, we have been taught in the high school administrated by sisters (nuns) that we use our Rosary as the tool we need to strive and overcome obstacles and challenges in the world. Saying the Rosary are prayers reaching Mother Mary whose son died for us. Whatever is asked sincerely and believe in her name is granted. My daughter is my miracle, my life is a joy although there are obstacles but I have life!
There are always resistance and that is our main obstacles. Remember, resistance is your main obstacle between you and the Holy One. I find myself doing many other things instead of praying. I look at my email, I clean the garden, vacuum, clean the entire house then remember I did not pray. All it takes is 15 minutes really, it depends on how long I decide to pray. Saying the Rosary per day brings happiness to my life. You can do your prayers for others in need. Yes You can pray for others as it is always needed!
It was so strange I have been yearning to attend the procession in Belize and was recently fortunate to attend the procession of FATIMA in honor of the 100 years appearance. It was quite fulfilling in that it gave me happiness and met some wonderful people who share the love of Mary. Walking in union of these amazing people and feeling the wonders of nature; feeling the warmth of sunlight, the wind touching my face and smelling the various scent of the roses and trees.
Remember, giving THANKS makes us happy. So why do we not give thanks more, show appreciation. Did you know that showing anger, hatred, jealousy and seeking material satisfaction is self destruction? It is fleeting but what makes us happy is lasting! Sometimes we need to change our environment and people around us. It is not easy as we feel we need to be with these people. Reflection is good for the soul, meditation helps us physically and mentally.
Identify what makes you happy
What we fail to realize is that only God can fill our emptiness but we need to overcome that resistance. The whole meaning and existence is the Holy Father. Sometimes we get confuse with the reason of these seasons of celebration. I look around and see the material gift we receive instead of thinking of the Spiritual gifts we need. Of course, we see the misery in others and not our selves. We really needs to put God in the center of our lives and we would see the world in a different perspective. If we look at the homeless and see our brother or love one, we would be more understanding. That homeless is our veteran brother who has fallen low and would do well with some thanks, support and appreciation. Have we ever thought of how much thanks we could show others?
What are your THANKFUL for this moment of your life? What are you doing to spread your spiritual joy this season? There are many who has lost their family this year. Have you been saying Hello to your neighbor? It take just one word that could make the difference. What we do not realize is that each person around you are fighting their own battles. If we would be able to listen to their battles, would you react in the same manner? We need to be compassionate, understanding, be warm and more loving. We have the perfect example of Jesus saying “Lord forgive them for they know not what they are doing? ”
There are times, I believe we seek material things such as oil when we can use alternative means. Our leaders tell us they are willing to do many things and with power they forget about their ideals and promise. We need to seek the greater POWER to make those changes we are not able to make. I am aware that many religion do not use the Rosary. I respect their beliefs and give thanks for our individuality and beliefs. I enjoy learning about other culture and belief. It broadens my mind and am able to view life from a different perspective. It actually enhances my belief and love of the world.
The procession is fairly long since it is usually at the beginning of the new school year and everyone is back from the summer vacation.
As a latina, I enjoy praying my Rosary as many others in the world precisely in Spanish speaking countries. It is our beliefs that helps us through many hardships in life. The Rosary is a very powerful prayer and a beautiful gift from our Blessed Mother, Mary.
Before you begin to pray the Rosary, it is nice to relax and and clear your mind. Go out and take a walk in the park or in your garden.
You can light a white candle if possible to begin or use a scented candle of your choice before we can get comfortable and begin the Rosary.
