Hope all are well and enjoying the long weekend. Enjoying those tasty barbecue. Let’s think safety in this hurricane season. Well, recently during the vacation, I was asked several times how to say the Rosary. Since there were several readers making this request, I feel this post is necessary. It is a spiritual recipe which contains certain ingredients everyone has but not everyone uses these qualities but just helping as with any request for a recipe. Here I will show How to say the Rosary!
Sharing with you the Virtues and vices that every person has, we are given wisdom to make choices:
I am happy to be able to share this amazing spiritual recipe. Sometimes I feel that spiritual need to serve my Lord in serving others. It reminds me to remain humble in all the success and remember to give others or give back. At times there is also that need to give “Thanks” with more joy! There are religious service or tradition that I enjoy and one of them is a yearly tradition in Belize. There is a yearly procession that we do before the coming Hurricane season that begins in June. The procession is done yearly asking for protection from the hurricanes. Belize is below sea-level but is blessed with the largest barrier reef in this hemisphere. The Barrier Reef is a series of coral reefs straddling the coast of Belize which is approximately 300 meters offshore in the north and 40 kilometers in the south. The Barrier Reef is really our major source of protection which make me believe we are blessed and fortunate. We need to take care of our environment as that is helping and providing for us not harming us.
There are times, I believe we seek material things such as oil when we can use alternative means. Our leaders tell us they are willing to do many things and with power they forget about their ideals and promise. We need to seek the greater POWER to make those changes we are not able to make. I am aware that many religion do not use the Rosary. I respect their beliefs and give thanks for our individuality and beliefs. I enjoy learning about other culture and belief. It broadens my mind and am able to view life from a different perspective. It actually enhances my belief and love of the world.
The procession is fairly long since it is usually at the beginning of the new school year and everyone is back from the summer vacation.
As a latina, I enjoy praying my Rosary as many others in the Latin American countries. It is our beliefs that helps us through many hardships in life as well as giving thanks for those successful joyous momentos. The Rosary is a very powerful prayer and a beautiful gift from our Blessed Mother, Mary for the family.
Before you begin to pray the Rosary, it is nice to relax and and clear your mind. Go out and take a walk in the park or in your garden.
You can light a white candle if possible to begin or use a scented candle of your choice before we can get comfortable and begin the Rosary.
