The benefits of Oatmeal is amazing.
It is interesting how many food that are available for us to eat and be healthy yet we do not! I can imagine for as long as I can remember those memorable days with my other cousins eating oatmeal. I have always enjoyed eating it. I have heard so many good things about oats. Well, I have continued to eat it as well.
Since it has so many benefits, I just had to write about my breakfast. I must say there are days that I have it for lunch, dinner as well as my dessert. Yes, I do. On a cool day, it just warms me up inside and makes me feel love based on the memories. It makes my tummy feel satisfied and I am energized. It makes me happy to see my children eating it all time of the day. I see them making oats and then put in the refrigerator and later eating as dessert with fruits. I would never think eating that later. But it makes me smile to see how they think, intelligent!
Did you know that oats has many components that helps with lowering blood cholesterol, blood sugar, boosting our immune system, anticancer, antioxidant, and anti-atherosclerosis activities, and reportedly may also be useful in controlling childhood asthma and body weight.
As adults, we are perfect examples for our children.We may not realize but the little ones imitate what we do. I have a perfect example. I eat meat or chicken now and then. My hubby does not. He does not eat meat. He does preach at times and my kids are selective with what they eat. No meat except chicken or turkey. Unconsciously they help me to eat well. If the kids eat oats instead of fruit loops for example, that is a great accomplishment. Fruit loops have colors in it and cause a reaction with the kids that is if you notice. They make react differently but that is another deeper topic for another day.
Oats is a whole grain that help us to loose weight if we would do exercise as well as eat a balance diet. I do subconsciously eat this in the morning and in the nighttime instead of sweet food.
