Crochet Tissue Box Cover
How are you all doing, mommy? We are doing well and sharing some tips on our preparation for our family gathering of joy and festivities. I can remember my grandma getting ready for this great reunion. Yes, I remember her pulling out boxes and unpacking all the beautiful ornaments. I can remember some beautiful spread for the guest room and all the essentials for the guest room which includes beautiful bedspreads, delicate linens and some lovely crochet pieces grandma had made as decoration. I sure am happy that I had Kleenex that is so soft and delicate as I had lovely memories. Unwrapping the Christmas pieces and seeing a beautiful handmade Crochet Tissue Box Cover is a great gift.
I can remember my grandmother being creative: embroidering, crocheting or knitting. She was always making something for her children for the Christmas holidays. I admired her and learned from her and continued this tradition. I decorate my home creating little things to make the home feel warm and welcoming for my visitors. This year, I created several Kleenex covers and decorated them for the Christmas holidays. I will share this tutorial so you can also make a Kleenex box Cover for your home and decorate as you wish.

Your hook size would help to if your top is too big or too small.
For the top, the length of beginning of chain pertains to the length of the tissue box.
The number of rows on top pertains to the width of the tissue box.
The number of rows on the Sides pertains to the height of the tissue box.
You add or subtract to adjust to your tissue box size.
Keep in mind is that the hole you create at the top for the tissue to come out should be centered.
With white, ch 48.Row 1: Sk 1st ch, 48 sc evenly across.
Rows 2-9: Ch 1, turn. Sc evenly across. 48
Row 10: Ch 1, turn. 13 sc, ch 22, sk 22, and 13 sc, being careful not to twist your work. Your chs and sks create the hole for your tissue to come out of.
Rows 12-21: Ch 1, turn. Sc evenly across. (48) Don’t break off.
– You should now have a rectangle, with a slit in the middle for the tissue, that fits on top of your tissue box. (Photo 1)
Let’s do the sides now 🙂
Row 1: Without turning your work, ch 1 and work 14 dc (1 sc for each Row along the short side of the rectangle). Then work 48 double crochet (dc) evenly along the long edge. Work another 14 dc along the next short side. And then another 48 evenly along the last long edge. Sl st to 1st sc to join. (124)
Rows 2-19: Ch 1, turn. Work 1 sc in each stitch. Sl st to 1st sc to join. (124)
