Memories of Teens
Hope all is well and getting back to school was off to a good school year. Mine is going smoothly and looking forward to making all those wonderful lunches and snacks. A couple weeks ago, I was send a picture of something I made that is barely any memories for a teen.
I used to spend many hours making gifts for my family and friends. When the babies begun to arrive, I always had something beautiful for them. Seeing this picture makes me happy to see it was appreciated and looks the same as I gave it. It is amazing to see how time has gone by so rapidly.
It is wonderful to see how our babies have learned so much and has their own personality. We wonder sometimes why he/she acts in that manner or with that attitude, it is all about the genes. No not the jeans pants but what helped to form their personality. The teenager who to wear the little sweater, cap and shoe is overjoy to see how special she is to have received those beautiful handmade gifts. She is very talented and has excel throughout the years.
My children are always looking to find baby clothing that they have seen in pictures and seems awed by these tiny pieces of clothing. Incredible how much they have grown and needs their space to do what they would like to do.
Since we are talking about teenagers, we will touch the topic of social media. Why? We need to be aware of what our children are doing and what they can find online and what they do online. It is added responsibility as they want to have their social media account: facebook, twitter and instagram account. It is amazing, they also must be told that for every account they need to be made responsible for whatever goes onto the media world. Everything that is put on social media goes with responsibility and needs to be secure before publishing. We must also advise them of the risk they can encounter and must be very careful. You do need to check on who their friends are online. Oh yes! Always great to have Memories of Teens.
Tell me, do you still have a couple baby bits from yesteryear? Share what you have kept and why? We would love to hear your story:).
